This blog began as a collection of news, thoughts, and stories related to current events in Cairo. It has since morphed to cover stories that fall beyond Egypt’s boundaries, and — as of March 2013 — has been viewed in 95 countries. The project stems from a journalism course at Princeton under the instruction of Deborah Amos, a Middle East Correspondent for NPR and a specialist on Syria.

My name is Ben Taub.  I am a member of the Frontline Freelance Register, and can be reached at egyptorialist@gmail.com
